Facilities Offered

  • The seminar hall and the amphitheater offer a stage for the students to express their talents.
  • Multi disciplinary Indoor Sports Complex of the college that houses Table Tennis, Badminton, Gymnasium and other indoor games, along the outdoor sports grounds with law Tennis courts, Basketball court and cricket ground is a distinctive attribute in the student co-curricular activities. Track suits and sports kits are given to the sports persons.

  • Fully computerized language laboratory to promote English environment and provide ear-training exercises in English language and thereby develop communication skills in English to meet the global challenges with confidence.

  • Multimedia teaching in the smart classrooms to enable the students to acquaint themselves with the latest technology. The college has established 06 smart rooms with LCD Projector on the campus, for the appropriate use of audio visual aids and for efficient teaching.
  • ICT awareness : The College has 100 computers with internet services on the campus. The students are free to use computer and internet facility all round the clock on the campus.

  • Project oriented, task based teaching supplemented by field visits / study tours / visit to industry.
  • Medical Aid Center to conduct regular health checkups for the students
  • E-Learning Centre with Video conferencing facility.
  • College library : The college has fully computerized library with open access facility to students and a well furnished two storied building with a rich collection of over 1,39,395 books. The library facilitates, reference work for research scholars. The library also has provision of Audio CD's, cassettes and Braille books for visually challenged students.

  • International Student Cell As part of the agreement of Cultural exchange between India and Afghanistan, the College has formed an International Student Cell. The Cell coordinates all academic and co-curricular activities of the international students. The Cell facilitates the international students in official business with the college and the university. It also counsels the students about Indian educational system and its cultural aspects.
  • Girls' Hostel: Well furnished newly constructed girls' hostel on the campus provides accommodation for 150 girls. Boarding facility is available with reasonable rates. Special security has been provided day and night to the girls'hostel.

  • Library reading hall : The library consists of well furnished separate reading rooms for boys and girls, which are open from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm., and upto 11.30 p.m. during examination period.

  • Botanical Garden: The College has undertaken the project of the development of Botanical garden. Since 2002, over a piece of two acre land, nearly 350 plant species are planted and conserved. Endangered plant species of the region are preserved here.

  • Green House : The college maintains a green house for the purpose of experimentation and training to students of Botany and Horticulture. Students are encouraged to visit the facility and get first hand experience in the workings of the green house.
  • Student Counseling Cell : The institution has Guidance and Counseling Unit which counsels the students to motivate them for higher studies, trains them in soft skills, makes the students aware of various opportunities open to them according to their interests; encourages them to appear for campus interviews and helps them to get placed.
  • Canteen : The institution has a canteen with separate faculty room and students' hall. It offers refreshments like non-alcoholic beverages, cold drinks, south Indian and North Indian dishes at subsidized rates, because free infrastructure with electricity facility, water supply, furniture and security are provided by the college.
  • Boys' Hostel: The three storied hostel building of the college provides accommodation for 80 students.
  • Railway and Bus concession forms : Every student can avail the railway/bus concession facility to his/her native place at the end of the term.
  • Grievance and Redressal: The cell considers the grievances of the students either through oral / written or through suggestion box. The committee discusses the grievances of the students and redresses them by taking necessary steps. The committee informs the students concerned regarding the redressal. The institution has suggestion boxes to receive the complaints and suggestions. These are collected by the members of IQAC and discussed along with Vice- Principal and the Principal. Necessary steps are taken to resolve the complaints and are communicated to the applicant.
  • The institute has Gender Sensitivity Cell. The members could be approached by any girl student with any personal or gender related problems for all help. The institution is free from sexual harassment of women students on the campus and there is a harmonious relation between girls and boys. The college is also free from ragging.
  • The College has Ramps and slopes for physically challenged students. State-of-the-art Kusum auditorium.

Extension Activities

  • An active and strong educational Management that is ever encouraging and supporting the faculty, students, and staff in all its academic and administrative ventures of excellence is the base for the progress of the institution.
  • Complete transparency is maintained in the admission of students, recruitment of the faculty /staff, administration and overall Governance and Leadership dimension.
  • Vidnyan Manch for the students is a collaborative activity of the College with Govt, of Maharashtra.
  • Yeshwant Prabodhan Vyakhyanmala, the lecture series aim to develop unity and universal brotherhood among students.
  • Shri Ram Deshmukh Vyakhyanmala, the lecture series in Economics.
  • The Department of English publishes the annual News fetter incorporating the activities, wallpapers, research write-ups, new ventures introduced and the programmes of the Language Lab.
  • Mahila Suraksha and Sudhar Samiti organizes various programmes & lectures for girl students and thereby bring awareness among them regarding the social, political, cultural, gender based problems of the contemporary society.
  • The institution encourages the students to express themselves through wallpapers like Yashogandh and Darpan regularly.
  • The institution publishes the college magazine Yashodeep annually which features articles, poems, thoughts and lyrics written by the students in English, Hindi, Marathi and Urdu. It also has all the academic, cultural, sports, co-curricular details of the college during the academic year.
  • The Department of History publishes yearly Wallpaper Nandgiri for the benefit of students.
  • Yeshwant Bhushan: During the annual social gathering the Best Student of the College award is conferred every year to a student who is the best at curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
  • Alumni Association : The alumni association of the college suggests and promotes many healthy practices on the campus.
  • Feedback from the industry: To enhance facilities for the next academic year, to know the views about the new courses to be started as per the need of region, the college collects regular feed back from the industry.
  • Parents - teachers meet: There is a good report between the teachers and parents of the wards through these meets.
  • The efficient leadership of the institution is well recognized and appreciated. Guru-ta- Gaddi, the tri-centenary birth celebration of Shri Guru Govind Singhji, the 10th guru of the Sikhs was organized at Nanded during Oct. 2008. The Event saw participation by several devotees of the Sikh community from all over the country and abroad. The infrastructure of the college was provided to the Gurudwara Board from accommodating the pilgrims. The NSS and NCC students offered great service during the period. Participation of the students among Guru-ta-Gaddi (2008) for various purposes including guiding the pilgrims, maintaining discipline etc. is well-praised.
