Career Oriented Courses (COC) Offered to U.G. and P.G. Students

Mere accumulation of information is not knowledge and complete knowledge by itself does not give the necessary wisdom. The purpose of education is not to produce “educated” individual at one stretch by putting all information and knowledge for his / her future activities. Education should be unbiased and competent enough to deal with any adversity and provide career opportunities to the learners.

The Career Oriented Courses aim to make the current higher education system more relevant and career oriented with a focus on quality and excellence. The professionally qualified graduates with a sound knowledge of their core disciplines and expertise in a concerned skill will have more openings in service industry and self - employment sectors. These courses ensure that graduates who pass out after completing these courses would have knowledge, skills and aptitude for gaining employment in the wage sector in general and self employment sector in particular. With these objectives in mind and in keeping with the rich tradition of the society, Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya, Nanded offers the following Career Oriented Courses for the learners.

The benefit of COC is extended to regular Post Graduate students of the college, but priority is given to the regular Undergraduate students. Since there is a heavy demand for certificate courses, irrespective of the year of the study, the U.G. / P.G. students are free to opt for two / three certificate courses during the period of their study or continue the same course for Diploma and Advanced Diploma level. At the end of three years, the students will be equipped with a Certificate / Diploma / Advanced Diploma as an add-on course along with a conventional degree in Science / Arts / Commerce. Students have freedom to diversify into various fields not necessarily related with their core discipline. For instance, a student pursuing a bachelor's degree in a Science subject could side by side pursue a course even in Management and a student with Arts background may have the options to pursue a course in Science / Journalism.

The educational methodology includes lectures, discussions, simulation, practical work and field project to match the academic excellence and industry expectations. The Career Oriented Courses have a progressive approach with the following courses and fees structure.
