Admission

Admission Procedure

  • After the declaration of XII class results, the students have to register with the necessary documents for admission to U.G. programme
  • The admission will be given as per merit order. Once the admission is finalized, no student will be allowed to change the faculty, subject combination or division.
  • Graduates of Arts, Commerce and Science faculties, who have passed their degrees with language as an optional subject or second language, will be eligible to seek admission to M.A. in the respective language.
  • Post-graduate students of other universities, who have passed their first part from concerned University will not be considered eligible to seek admission in the second part.

Eligibility for Admission to P.G Computer Courses:

  • BCA Graduates are eligible to take admission for M.Sc. Computer Science, M.Sc. Computer Management, M.Sc. Information Technology & M.Sc. Multimedia.
  • All Engineering Graduates are eligible to take admission for M.Sc. Computer Science, M.Sc. Computer Management, M.Sc. Information Technology & M.Sc. Multimedia.
  • B.Sc. (Computer Science) Graduates are eligible to take admission for M.Sc. Computer Science, M.Sc. Computer Management, M.Sc. Information Technology & M.Sc. Multimedia.
  • Preference may be given to B.Sc. Computer Maintenance, B.Sc. with Computer Science, B.Sc. with Computer Applications, BE. with Computer and B.Sc. with information Technology students to Post Graduates Courses in Computer Science.
  • Any Graduate (10+2+3) with PGDCA / ADCSSAA /"A" Level conducted by the Department of Electronics is eligible for admission to First Year of M.Sc. Computer Science, M.Sc. Computer Management, M.Sc. Information Technology & M.Sc. Multimedia.

Rules for admission to U.G. and P.G. courses :

Admissions to all P.G. courses will be held strictly as per the university rule ( Resolution No. 04/11-2003 for seeking admission, to U.G. and P.G. courses). The following documents must be attached along with the admission form.

  • Original Marks Memo along with three photo copies (duly signed)
  • Transfer Certificate of school / college along with three photo copies (duly signed)
  • Income Certificate (for EBC holders in Maharashtra)
  • Preference may be given to B.Sc. Computer Maintenance, B.Sc. with Computer Science, B.Sc. with Computer Applications, BE. with Computer and B.Sc. with information Technology students to Post Graduates Courses in Computer Science.
  • To ascertain date of birth and caste, attach Photocopy of SSC transfer certificate or the SSC certificate.
  • Attested Photocopy of Caste certificate (only for GOI scholarship holders)

Notes :

Note: Students are requested to have additional attested photocopies for future use before the submission of original documents. Once submitted they will not be returned for photocopying purpose in future.

Distribution of seats allocated to each class :

85 % seats of intake capacity of each class will be filled on merit basis as per government reservation norms. Remaining 15% seats of total intake capacity of each class will be allocated to specially authorized candidates. However, 30% seats in each category will be reserved for girl students.

Distribution of Specially authorized 15% seats (excluding B.Sc. Computer Science) is as follows :

  • The educational institution - 5%
  • The recommendation of admission committee and approved by the principal - 5%
  • For students who have special skills in sports and cultural activities - 5%

Reservation for Admissions :

  1. For Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes converted to Buddhism -13%.
  2. For Scheduled Tribes-7%.
  3. For Vimukta Jati (as specified) -3%
  4. (Berad / Bester / Kaikadi / Kanjarbhat / Katak / Banjara / Vagalable / Rajparshi / Rajput Bhamta / Ramoshi/Wadar/Pardhi / Chapparband).
  5. For Nomadic Tribes (NT-1) (before 1990 as specified) -2.5% (Gosavi / Gawali / Beldar / Bharadi / Bhute / Vagalale / Chitralathi / Garudi / Ghisadi / Golla / Godai / Gopal / Helebe/ Joshi / Vasudeo/ Bahurupi /Thelari /Otari).
  6. Nomadic Tribes (NT-2) -3.5% (Ahir/ Dange / Gadri /Telkar/ Hatkar/ Sangar/ Khutekar/Telangi /Telari / Kokani Dhangar/ Kavade / Varshade/Dhangar/Zadezad/ Kurmal/Matur/Ladle/Ranger/Dhangar).
  7. Nomadic Tribes (NT-3) (Vanjar & Vanjari)-2%.
  8. Special Backward Class and Other Backward Classes -19%.
  9. 2% Admission in respective category is given to the wards of freedom fighter, wards of Defence servicemen, Defence ex-servicemen, wards of project affected parents and 3 % admission in respective category to disabled students having certificate of 40% disability from civil surgeon.

General Instructions :

  1. Students belonging to categories shown in ‘f’ and ‘g’ of the previous section of "reservation for admissions" will have to produce certificate of "not belonging to Creamy Layer" as specified by the government to avail the facility of reservation. Except the caste certificate, no other document will be considered for reservation in admission.
  2. Admissions sought on the basis of false documents will be cancelled at any time and action will be taken against such students.
  3. Every admission form should bear a pass-port size photograph.
  4. While seeking admission remittance of full fees is necessary.
  5. Students are required to verify their admission forms from admission committee before submission in the office.
  6. The principal is empowered to finalize the admission or to reject it.

Cancellation of Admissions and Refund of fees :

  1. Students will have to pay the fees prescribed by the College / University from time to time and take receipts from the office.
  2. If the student, who has taken admission to any grant in aid course cancels admission¬
    1. Within 15 days from the date of admission, 10% of the tuition fees of the entire academic year for the course will be charged to the students and other fees will be fully recovered.
    2. Within 30 days from the date of admission, 20% of the tuition fees of the entire academic year for the course will be charged and other fees will be fully recovered.
    3. After 30 days from the date of admission, 50% of the tuition fees of the entire academic year for the course will be charged and otherfees will be fully recovered.
    4. If student cancels admission in II term, total fees for the course will be charged.
  3. If the student, who has taken admission to programmes on self financing basis (Non-Granted course) cancels his / her admission before one month from the date of admission, 20% of tuition fees of the entire academic year for the course will be charged and other fees will be fully recovered. If a student cancels his / her admission after one month from the date of admission, 50% of tuition fees of the entire academic year will be charged and other fees will be fully recovered.
  4. The fees of those students who have taken admission to Non - Granted / Permanent Non -Granted course will not be refunded even if the student gets seat in granted quota of same subject or other subject.
  5. Those students who have transferred their admission from non-granted / permanent non-granted course to granted course will have to pay the fees as per the fees structure of the newly selected course.

Points to be noted by the Students to avail Facility for Economically Backward Students:

  1. Those students of Under Graduation (U.G.) and Post Graduation (P.G.), who belong to economically Backward Class are informed that, your parents/guardians Income limit is increased from Rs. 15000/- to Rs. 100000/- and have to submit Income Certificate signed by Tahasildar of your Taluka office along with E.B.C. form.
  2. The income certificate signed by Sarpanch/ Talathi/ Gazetted officer/ Executive Magistrate is not allowed.
  3. Students can fill up their E.B.C. forms in the name of brothers or guardians if their parents are not alive, after submitting their death certificate.
  4. If one of the parents, mother or father is alive, they can fill up EBC form in the name of the alive parent. In such cases they cannot fill up EBC form in the name of brother or guardian.
  5. If the parents (mother or father) are pensioners he/she will have to attach pension certificate along with the form issued by the treasury officer.
  6. If parents or a member in family is merchant/ trader/ businessman, students are required to attach income certificates issued by sales tax officer.
  7. If parents are alive but a student lives separately from father / mother and fills up EBC form he will have to get income certificate of the guardian / father / mother and attach it along with the form.
  8. If a student gets thumb impression of his mother / guardian on EBC form, to a certain the reality of thumb impression, it is to be countersigned by the Sarpanch or Gazetted officer.
  9. After the submission of the EBC form in the college, if the student fails to attend the classes regularly or fails to appear for the examination, the EBC facility will be withdrawn. In such case, before leaving the college, student has to pay full fees as per rule.
  10. Students of this category are exempted from the payment of Admission fees, Tuition fees, Laboratory fees and Library fees.

Scholarships :

Many Scholarships and Freeships are available for deserving students. These are as follows -


Government Freeships:
  1. Students of EBC / PTC / STC Category.
  2. Students of reservation category and the repeater students of SC / NT / DNT / VJNT / SBC /OBC categories
  3. ST Student Freeships.

Government Scholarships:
  1. Open merit scholarship
  2. National merit scholarship
  3. GOI scholarship to the students of SC / ST/ DNT/ NT / VJNT / SBC / OBC Category
  4. Physically handicapped students (above 40% defect)
  5. Wards of Defence Ex-Serviceman
  6. Eklavya Scholarship for Science faculty P.G. students securing 70% marks or above and for Arts and Commerce faculty students scoring 60% marks or above at U.G. degree level.

Facilities to the wards of Primary and Secondary Teachers :

To get this facility the student's mother or father should be a primary, secondary or higher secondary teacher as per the norms. Those who work as part time or full time teachers but do not get pay-scale of teacher, their wards will not be given this facility. Similarly the student should have secured at least 45% marks in the last examination to avail this facility.
